当某些及物动词由于语义的因素需要在其后接用when引导的状语从句时，习惯上要在状语从句前加一个it――这类及物动词主要有enjoy, hate, love, like, dislike, appreciate, prefer等。如：

I love it when you sing. 我喜欢听你唱歌。

I don’t like it when you shout at me. 我不喜欢你对我大喊大叫。

I don’t like it when you get angry. 我不喜欢你生气。

Men say they like it when women make the first move. 男人们说他们喜欢女采取主动。
